The lock is the real winner here—my roommate's nosy sister came by and never even glanced at the shelf. The compartments swallow my whole collection without anything rattling around, and the latch feels solid enough that I'm not worried about it popping open.
The lock actually works, which is the main thing I wanted — my roommate has zero boundaries and this keeps her out. The case is roomier than I expected too, everything fits without me having to Tetris it around.
Took this on a weekend trip and it fit my whole collection plus the charger without feeling cramped. The lock gives me peace of mind with roommates around, though I wish the latch felt a little sturdier when it closes. Solid for the price.
